The present Atlas tries to facilitate taccess to he knowledge of the assortment of medicinal and aromatic plants found on the territory of Romania, through the colored plates, in overview and detail images, as well as through the adjacent texts describing the morphological characters of the plants, the natural areas of distribution and the plant organs that can be used.

Based on the experiences of hundreds of previous generations, focused on repeated testing and in-depth chemical-pharmaceutical research, the therapeutic properties and specific actions in preventing and combating many human and animal diseases were outlined for each plant. All this is correlated with concrete data on the content of bioactive substances that interact with the triggering factors of diseases.
