This book represents a detailed account of the mangrove, mangroveassociate and back mangrove flora of the area. Sunderbans is thelargest contiguous mangrove patch (along with Bangladesh) on the globewith an area of 25500 square kilometers, of which the Indian part isapproximately 9360 square km. 964 angiospermic plant species have beendocumented from an area between the Dumpire & Hodges Line to the CoreZone.
