This book proposes an ideal excursion in the different natural environments of Salento in search of the most typical and/or rarest and most interesting species that characterize them, in order to offer a general vision of the characteristics of the flora of our territory, which can also be useful to those who are not scholars but also simply curious about the subject, as a tool for botanical knowledge of the territory. The common thread is therefore represented by the different types of habitats in which the plant species are widespread. The result is a book of easy consultation based on floristic research and photographic material resulting from years of field research, in order to create awareness that our flora also constitutes, like other peculiarities of Salento, an invaluable heritage belonging to the community that must be learned at all costs to be able to better enhance and protect it.
