The work is a description of all Danish Lichens. This demands utmost precision of the descriptions and plates. In this regard the work offers extraordinary quality hardly to be found elsewhere. The exactness of the plates makes long explanations of the figures superfluous, so that thet ext could be kept short. Galloe used the Lichenographica Scandinavica by Th.Fries with regard to scientific names. - Paper covers partly loosened. Lacks volume 10, which was published in 1972.
