The book is a modification of the two grass volumes of the Flora ofNorth America (FNA). It is designed for identifying members of thePoaceae in the region between the Sierra Nevada and Rocky Mountains,and is intended for use by botanists working with the grasses in thisintermountain region of North America. Descriptions, keys, illustrationsand distribution maps for over 480 grass species, including native,introduced, and cultivated species. A few taxonomic changes have beenmade to accomodate information published since completion of theFNA volumes.
