The book is a compilation of 100 rare to very rare plants which grows above 15000 ft in the eastern Himalayas. The book covers the region of eastern Nepal, Sikkim, Bhutan and Arunachal Pradesh.

Many of the species in the book are photographed for the first time and more importantly the book describes 14 new reports for India. Each species is presented with a beautiful habitat photograph and in many cases along with a close-up of the flower. Further each species is with its descriptions, altitudinal details, blooming time, identification keys and extended habitats in the region of the Himalayas.
