The atlas introduces the seeds of major community-building species, dominant species, and companion species in the grassland, forest, desert, and meadow communities in northern China, as well as the seeds of rare and endangered plants, endemic plants, and other plants with ecological and economic value, as well as the seeds of some plants in the alpine grasslands of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. This book is the first volume, and contains 37 families and 333 species (including varieties), including 19 species of gymnosperms in 5 families and 9 genera, and 314 species of angiosperms in 32 families and 145 genera (including varieties); through the full-view and deep-stacked microscopic original color photos of the seeds, the morphology of the fruit (seed) and embryo of each plant is displayed and explained, and the morphological characteristics of the fruit and seeds are described in detail. In addition, a brief introduction to the geographical distribution, ecological and biological characteristics, and main application value of the plants is given.
