This book includes keys for the identification of adults and larvaeof northeastern North American Carabidae. For the purpose of the book,the northeast includes the states of Vermont, New Hampshire, andMaine of the United States, the Canadian provinces of Quebec, NewBrunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland(including Labrador), and the French overseas department of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon. Keys are provided for adults of all 97 genera and565 species. Information pertaining to the habitat requirements,seasonal activity, occurence and dispersal power of each species isprovided and the geographical divisions, biogeographic category andbioclimatic zones are listed.
