The first volume of the Catalogue of vascular flora of Montenegro comprises non-seed plants (divisio Pteridophyta), gymnosperms (subdivision Gymnosperrnae) and partly angiosprems (subdivisio Angiospermae, classis Dicotledones, families: Betulaceae-Fumariaceae). It includes 44 families, 137 genera, 564 species and subspecies and 9 hybrid taxa. The catalogue is a result of synthesis of available literature data and own filed investigations and it is based on 4 publications: Conspectus florae Montenegrinae, Analytical Flora of Yugoslavia, Material for Vascular flora of Montenegro, and Contribution to knowledge of vascular flora of Montenegro. Nomenclature revision is done as well as critical phytogeographical review.
