In the special part 212species of fungi with polyporoid hymenophore formerly included in polypores in a very broad sense (now at least 8 independent families)are treated in detail with regard to their geographical distribution and ecology in Czechoslovakia. The species are arranged systematically (phylogenetically) starting with the primitive ones and progressing tothe most highly developed (not only in families but also in genera;alphabetical arrangement is not used). Each species is briefly treated under six headings as regard its time of fructification, host plants,altitudinal distribution, distribution maps, general distribution and the distribution in Czechoslovakia.
