Lake Hula, the northernmost of the three lakes of the Jordan Valleywas drained.This was the man - made end of one of the oldest documentedlakes in history: under the name of "Samchuna", it was mentioned inthe Tel el Amarna letters of Pharao Amenhothep IV in the 14thcentury B.C. This book deals with the reconstruction of the faunaand hydrobiology of this lake.
