The Phyllophoraceae are predominantly biotropic plant parasites.This book provides a comprehensive account of the Australian taxa.The genera are introduced and the taxonomic characters used todeliminate taxa are discussed. Taxonomy of taxa is clarified. 5 newspecies and one subspecies. In total, over 1100 specimens ofPhyllochoraceae have been examined, including herbarium collectionsfrom 13 Australian herbaria, 23 non Australian herbaria, and 299collections made during the course of this study. Accepted taxa aredescribed and illustrated with photomicrographs and distribution maps.
