This book presents information on 170 species of plants with medicinal applications that are commercialised in the city of Buenos Aires and other cities in Argentina. The contents correspond to results obtained in previous studies on urban ethnobotany in the study area. Various places of sale were surveyed: herbalist's shops, pharmacies, health food stores and markets.

The aim of this text is to disseminate knowledge of the characteristics and properties of medicinal plants, and to allow consumers to broaden their own knowledge about them, their benefits and possible harmful effects, as well as their different forms of use, so that they can guide their choices.
