It is commonly recognized that there are more than 430 primula species In the world. Among them, 80 % spread in The Himalayan mountain ranges, Tibet, Assam, Yunnan, Sichuan and Myanmar regions. Especially Eastern Slnohlmalaya , between 25° to 300 N.latitude, 900 to 1000 E. longitude shows a dense concentration of more than 50%. It is most likely that Genus primula originated there and underwent primitive diversification. Genus primulas grow in the Northern Hemisphere with the exception of P.magellantca ,the only one South American specie. In this book, detailed explanations are offered with 7 divisions, Europe, West Asia, Himalaya, China, Japan, North America and Widespread areas respectively.
