Prodromus of spore plants of Ukraine: Bryophyta. 2022. 173 p. gr8vo. Hardcover. - In Ukrainian, with English summary (1.5 p.).
'Prodromus of Spore Pants of Ukraine: bryophytes' consists of two parts:
1) the catalogue of Ukrainian mosses (compiled by V.M. Virchenko) and 2) the catalogue of Ukrainian hornworts and liverworts (by S.O. Nyporko).
The first catalogue includes 631 species, placed in 215 genera, belonging to 67 families, 20 orders, and 5 classes.
The second catalogue contains 185 species, placed in 74 genera, belonging to 43 families, 13 orders, and 4 classes.
Thus, according to the contemporary taxonomic system of the European bryophytes (Hodgetts et al., 2020), Ukrainian bryophytes refer to three
divisions: Anthocerotophyta (2 species), Marchantiophyta (183) arid Bryophyta (631 species).
In the present work, within families the accepted genera and species are arranged in alphabetical order. Each taxon is provided with Latin and Ukrainian names, synonyms, data on habitat preferences and regional distribution, and references.
