The first part of a monograph of the predominantly southern hemispherefamily Haloragaceae. This account consists of a discussion of previouswork on the family, a survey of the morphological and biosystematiccriteria found to be of use in taxonomic treatments of the group, andthe first part of the proposed taxonomic revision of the family.
