Tesoros Naturales de Guinea Ecuatorial. 2022. (Colección Divulgacion) illus.(col.). 286 p.- In Spanish.
Equatorial Guinea, located on the Atlantic coast of Central Africa, is home to one of the world's greatest natural riches, despite its small size. The continental and island territories that make it up, mostly covered by tropical rainforests, offer enormous scientific interest for the study of biodiversity, ecosystems and the evolutionary history of this region of the planet, in order to appreciate and try to unravel the web of relationships that form the tree of life.
The result of the close and long collaboration between Equatoguinean and Spanish scientists, and also the result of the historical links that exist between the two countries, this volume synthesises, in an accessible and rigorous way, different aspects of the natural history of Equatorial Guinea: its geology, vegetation, fauna and human biocultural evolution. A holistic vision that also highlights the need to seek a harmonious balance between the preservation and reasonable exploitation of natural resources.
