Species of rust fungi are all obligate parasites of vascular plants. This book is a comprehensive descriptive account of rust fungi hitherto recorded from Inner Mongolia of China. A total of 257 taxa in 22 genera of 10 families parasitic on more than 520 host plant species in 193 genera of 52 families are included. Accepted scientific names, important synonyms or synonyms which previously appeared in Chinese literature, host plants, and citation of collections with annotation of local distribution and herbarium accession number are given for each species. There are keys to genera and species. All species are described and illustrated by line drawings. The collections cited are deposited in the Mycological Herbarium of Chifeng University (CFSZ), Chifeng, Inner Mongolia, Herbarium Mycologicum Academiae Sinicae (HMAS), Beijing, and Mycological Herbarium of Inner Mongolia Agricultural University (HNMAP), Hohhot.
