Abstract: 35 genera and 105 stereoid species from America are described out of which 65 species are illustrated with black and white drawings. Key to genera and generic keys are provided. Cyphellostereum brasiliensis is described as new, while Auriculariopsis lanata (Cooke) Ryvarden and A. patelliformis (Burt) Ryvarden are proposed as new combinations.
