Flora Fungorum Sinicorum
Volume 74; Fomitopsidaceae and Related Taxa. 2024. illus. 353 p. gr8vo. Hardcover.- In Chinese, with Latin nomenclature.
Fomitopsidaceae and Related Taxa are an important group of macrofungi, as they are able to degrade cellulose and hemicellulose of wood and cause brown wood decay, and have important ecological functions in forest ecosystems. Some species are important medicinal fungi with certain economic value, and some species can cause wood decay and damage forest trees.
This volume consists of two parts: an introduction and a monograph. The introduction describes the taxonomic status, biological characteristics, history and current status of domestic and international research on Stomatoporaceae and related taxa, and briefly introduces their ecological habits.
The monograph deals with 166 species of 12 families, 51 genera and related taxa in China, and each species is discussed in detail, including macroscopic morphology, microstructure, habitat, distribution, research specimens, and some necessary discussions, and microstructural drawings of each species are also provided. The Chinese Fungi Journal, Volume 74, Stromatoporaceae and Related Taxa, provides a search list of the genera and species of each family in the Stromatoporaceae and related taxa in China, with relevant references, an index of the Chinese names of fungi, and an index of the scientific names of fungi at the end of the book.
