Consequently weed control becomes important and, infact, has become the greatest factor of concern in some crops. Thishandbook has been written to facilitate the task of mastering weedcontrol in the most economical way, and at the same time to considerthe risks, dangers and costs when changing from traditional handweedingto chemical weed control. Originally this book was designed as a meansto help in the identification of weeds only. But while in progress,extension officers expressed the need for an upgraded weed controlhandbook.
