A checklist of species and infraspecific taxa, with synonymy, placesof publication, and indication of distribution and habit, withoccasional notes, of the Euphorbiales of the world (here comprising theEuphorbiaceae and Pandaceaea, corresponding to part of the Malpighialesof the Angiosperm Phylogeny Group(1998)). Integrated with it arebibliographical references on these families with, as far as possible,at least one citation for every accepted genus. There are over 1700bibliographic entries while in the checklist are names of 10,148accepted taxa and 14,568 synonyms below generic rank (with altogether966 generic names), a ratio of 1.43 326 genera with 8935 species arerecognised.
